Nicky Grist Stages awarded best BTRDA Rally Series event of 1995, 2005, 2010 and 2012 Quinton Motor Club is one of the best known clubs in the Midlands and Wales. Our membership is not restricted to the Midlands as we have members from far afield as Devon, Sussex, Kent, Wales, Scotland, and even one member from Norway and one from USA.

The Club meets at the Old Halesonians Association Community Sports Centre, Wassell Grove, Hagley, Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY9 9JP – Map Ref 139 / 927 816, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, commencing 8.30pm / 9.00pm. Various functions are held on these nights.

Two top rallies are run and organized by the club: The Horiba D’Isis Rally, a single venue tarmac event, held at MIRA and the Nicky Grist Stages held in the forests on and around Epynt.

A successful Road Rally was held in 2011 and a further event is in the planning stage. A date is yet to be confirmed.

Quinton also runs the following championships for members.

Multi-Venue Stage Rally Driver - Multi-Venue Stage Rally Co-Driver

Single Venue Stage Rally Driver - Single Venue Stage Rally Co-Driver

Road Rally Driver - Road Rally Navigator

Coup D’Elan Driver – comprising Autocross, Rallycross, Hillclimb, Autotest, Sprint, PCT etc.

All winners of the above championships receive awards. In addition, the winning driver and co-driver of the MultiVenue Championship will each receive half the entry fee into the following year’s Nicky Grist Stages, and the winning driver and co-driver of the Single Venue Championship will each receive half the entry fee into the following year’s Horiba D’Isis Rally at MIRA. The Road Rally Driver and Navigator champions will each qualify for up to £50 towards an entry on a Road Rally of their choice.

The Coupe D’Elan Driver champion will receive up to £100 towards an entry on a similar event.

The Club has also introduced a financial support scheme for competitors. One candidate each year will be offered financial support of £100 per event, (maximum 5 events), in any National Championship.

The Quinton Challenge, usually incorporating 8 events a year, consists of Navigational Scatters and Treasure Hunts etc. Awards are made for each event. At the end of the year an Award is also made to the overall winner(s).

The Marshals’ Championship awards points for each event marshalled. A monetary reward is made at the end of the calendar year to those members who have marshalled more than 5 events. The overall champion also receives an award plus a unique item of club clothing.

All of the above contribute to the Overall Club Championship.

Other awards are made to the top Lady and top Junior (under 18).

A ‘stand alone’ Tour Championship will be introduced in 2015
